Watch: Utah Boy Trapped Under a Fallen Dresser Is Rescued by His Twin Brother

Tags:

One of the young boys in this video is being hailed as a hero, and we can absolutely see why. Displaying a shocking amount of strength, the toddler bravely rescued his young brother from where he had been trapped under a piece of heavy furniture after it had toppled over on both boys. (Warning: The frightening clip is difficult for many to watch, so proceed with caution.)

It started when Kayli Shoff’s 2-year-old twin sons, Brock and Bowdy, were playing in their room alone while their parents were still asleep. The Utah mom says she never heard a thud or any crying, although footage from the room’s nanny cam clearly shows that a disaster had indeed struck: A large white dresser had tipped over while the boys were climbing on it, and Brock had become trapped underneath.

That’s when little Bowdy–who appears very concerned but at first seems unsure of what to do–steps up and actually lifts the dresser off his crying brother.

Luckily, neither boy was seriously hurt in the terrifying incident, and the twins’ grateful mom now wants to share an important warning with other moms and dads.

“Everybody needs to bolt down their dressers to the wall. Accidents are going to happen, but we want to spread awareness to this one accident that happened and hope that it doesn’t happen to any other family,” Shoff said later.

The boys’ father, Ricky Shoff, wrote on his Facebook page, “We are so grateful for the bond that these twin brothers share. We know Bowdy was not alone in moving the dresser off of Brock. And feel blessed that he is ok.”

We’re so glad both boys are okay.
