While many laboring moms-to-be prefer to lie completely still as contractions come, Yuki Nishizawa of Boston, MA, had other plans. She decided to pump the 1994 hit "Tootsie Roll," and shake her booty--and belly--to the music before welcoming baby #2 at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Sensing the world might appreciate her moves, her husband, Connell Cloyd, filmed the one-of-a-kind performance and posted it to Facebook and YouTube. (You can watch the video below.)
According to the YouTube caption, Yuki had hit 7 cm dilated and was still grooving. Even as she announced, "My water is breaking!" she didn't miss a beat. The hospital workers reportedly hadn't seen anything like it, and giggled appreciatively at the routine.
A pregnant staffer in the background can be seen looking on in awe, grasping her own baby bump. While we don't know for sure, we'd bet she won't be copying Yuki's pain management techniques when it's her turn to give birth.
