Stephen Thayer Sr. was overjoyed when he received a photo of his newborn granddaughter, born to his son Matt on March 20. Almost instantly, he received another text with another baby photo.
But it wasn't Matt's!
Stephen was baffled when he realized the second baby picture he received was of a boy. It took him a moment before he realized that it was his other son Stephen's baby, who had also just been born that same day.

Brothers Stephen and Matt were 80 miles away from each other when their wives gave birth, Matt being in Durham, N.C., and Stephen being in Pinehurst. But by far the craziest thing about this double birthday was that both babies were born at the exact same MINUTE at 6:53 p.m.!
"We were joking that it was a brotherly competition and it ended in a tie," Matt said.
Good thing this is a game where everyone wins!
