Think of three NEW things that you're happy about, recommends happiness researcher and author Shawn Achor. And yes, it has to be new things every night--that way, you train your brain to look for positive moments and blessings during the day.

Do this for a few weeks, and you too can turn into a more optimistic person, like the subjects in Achor's studies. The benefits to your health are amazing (for one, it protects against Alzheimer's and heart disease and lowers blood pressure). Being a half-full type of person can also give you more energy, making you more productive and creative.
So try it. It can't hurt--and it may just make you happier this weekend!
