A recent study in the journal Nutrition found that sipping 9.5 oz. of the veggie juice daily helped women lose 50 percent more fat from their waistline over 8 weeks without making any other changes to their diet. This antioxidant was shown to stimulate the study subjects’ output of a key metabolism-revving hormone (adiponectin) by 25 percent, while also reducing their levels of fat-promoting inflammatory compounds by 22 percent. Also smart: Increase your intake of monounsaturated fat sources such as olive oil, avocados and almonds. These healthy fats have been shown to rev belly-fat burn by 56 percent.
