At 11, Bella Burton, who lives in western Massachusetts, weighs about 43 pounds. Her service dog, a Great Dane named George, is a hefty 130 pounds--three times her weight! That's what makes him the perfect companion for Bella. He goes everywhere with her, and she leans on him...literally.

Meet Bella and George. The fifth-grader has a rare disease called Morquio syndrome, and before this January, couldn't walk or move around very well. Enter George, a Great Dane trained as a service dog who now sticks close to her side. Thanks to George, she's walking and even running--by herself! And she's more confident at school.
