Molly Matott, a local meteorologist in Syracuse, NY, seems like a fun yet professional woman who knows not to take herself too seriously. However, that doesn't mean that she won't get serious and tell someone when they've done something wrong.
She posted this funny photo of herself to her Twitter account. Unfortunately, one viewer felt the need to weigh in on her appearance from that day's forecast, in more ways than one.

The viewer wrote to Molly, saying that "she didn't want to be mean," but that still didn't stop her from saying some pretty awful things. Not only did she complain about Molly's choice in hairstyle and makeup, but she also made a totally unnecessary comment about the meteorologist's weight by mentioning her "underarm boob fat."
The rest of the comment read:
" I don’t know, of course, who dresses Molly and I’m not trying to b mean or unkind but the way she is dressed today looks very much like she came directly from a night on the town to work! Good grief, have a little decorum and be more understated and conservative in your attire. There are so many things going on here and none of them are good, the range is from underarm boob fat, garish jewelry, clashes in color, AND makeup....I just turned on my television set and was shaken to the core (almost) at the sight of all of that going on this early on a Saturday morning!"

Luckily, Molly didn't let this cruel opinion get the best of her. She posted her reply on Instagram, and in the process, she showed the commenter that it's possible to share your opinion and be respectful at the same time. She starts off by saying, "My job is to give the best and most accurate forecast in an understandable manner. … I'm sorry you chose to focus on my appearance and 'underarm boob fat' instead."
And in response to the suggestion that she should be more modest in the future, Molly had this to say: "Perhaps next time you wish to pen such an unnecessarily nasty email to a television professional, you too remember that less is more."
We couldn't agree more, and are so impressed that Molly was able to turn something hateful into an opportunity to spread a message of body confidence to her viewers!
