Unless you believe leftover cold pizza is one of the best breakfasts out there (who are you?), chances are you’ve struggled through the soggy, tasteless crust that comes from microwaving your day-old pepperoni ‘za. The once amazing crust--soft in some places, perfectly crisp in others--turns into a uniformly chewy glob. Let’s be honest: Cheese may be amazing, but even it can’t make up for that.
There is hope--and you don’t even need to turn on the oven. We know you want to dig into the cheesy goodness--stat. Just grab a pan and heat up the stove. Throw one or two slices of pizza in the pan when it’s good and hot, and cover with a lid. The hot surface of the pan keeps the crust crispy, so you can kiss that sad, soggy crust that comes from a microwave reheating goodbye.
Just make sure you don’t forget the lid! This traps the moisture in the pan, which re-melts the cheese and keeps the toppings from drying out. Give it a couple minutes to heat all the way through, and you’re looking at leftovers that can actually be called crave-worthy.
