Cancer is no laughing matter, but this comedienne is having the last laugh.
In late 2014 stand-up comedienne Karen Hobbs went for a pap smear after experiencing bleeding after sex. She received devastating news after doctors ran other tests and diagnosed her with stage 1b cervical cancer at only 24 years old.

But Hobbs did not let cancer stand in the way of her happiness or her comedy. Hobbs beat cancer after undergoing a four-and-a-half hour surgery in December of 2014, called a radical trachelectomy which involved cutting part of her vagina and her whole cervix out.
