Talk about a miracle--a twin miracle, that is.
Twin sisters Lily and Summer Cobbing were born three months early in Adelaide, Australia in June 2010. But while Summer weighed just under two pounds, Lily was half that size at just under a pound.
"Lily was tiny, tiny. Her ears were like little dried apricots, her tummy was so see-through you could see her organs, and her eyes were still shut," said the girls' mother, Michelle Roberts-Cobbing.
Lily immediately began fighting for her life, and her mom began preparing for the worst. But then a brilliant idea struck the worried mother: Why not try putting the baby girls next to each other, just like they were in the womb?
Right away, the change seemed to help; Lily snuggled into Summer and Summer snuggled into Lily.
