Sonia Rochel is a French nurse, and a grandmother, who hit upon a unique way of bathing newborns one day when she was showering and realized how good the droplets felt on her face.
Her technique, which she named the Thalasso Baby Bath, involves running water while you bathe a newborn in the sink. As the baby floats (supported, of course!) in the warm bath, water pours gently over that little head. The idea: To mimic the conditions of the watery world the baby just left.
In this video, Rochel tries out her technique on twins. Watching these two newborns cuddle and hug makes you realize just how strong the bond between siblings actually is.
Rochel has said that you can try this technique out on any age baby, but to be sure to keep your hands close by in case your little one makes a sudden movement.
Watch and see if you're not left awestruck--and then check out the reactions of family members greeting their newborns for the very time!
