Having tiny feet often makes it hard to find the perfect shoe, but there may be benefits to having small tootsies. According to a Swedish study, people sized 5-7 are rumored to have the longest life expectancy. Makes sense, as people with small feet are also supposedly considered to be happy and love life despite their hectic careers.
But larger-footed folk, don’t fret! Those with big feet still fared well, and are known for having a strong desire to succeed.
We did a little digging into the matter, and here's what we what we discovered that scientists hypothesize when it comes to foot size and life expectancy.
While the studies found no direct correlation between shoe size and individual diseases, or between foot width and life span, they both isolated a definite link between shoe size and length of life, according to Dr. Hans Bjors, an epidemiologist from Stockholm who reported on the study.
And what if you're a half-size? You'll have to do a little rounding up. People with half sizes fell generally in the longevity ranges predicted for the next larger size, he said.
Who knew that feet could be so revelatory!?
