We could write poems about the sweet, sweet sound of your spoon cracking through the caramelized top of a rich crème brûlée. But here’s the thing about poetry and the classic dessert: we don’t think of them as everyday things. Poetry is for Valentine’s Day and anniversaries--unless you’re a big Hallmark fan--and crème brûlée is for fine dinners out.
Well, that’s not good enough for us. We want that divine dessert in the comfort of our own homes so we can eat it while wearing PJs and watching TV, and we just found the blogger who makes that possible. Her version comes together with just five minutes of prep before cooking to custardy perfection in your slow cooker while you relax--and get hungry!

The pared-down recipe makes just two servings, so it’s perfect for spur-of-the-moment romantic dinners or movie nights (and helps with portion control). All you have to do is make tin foil rings to keep the custard from over-cooking and torch the top when the slow cooker is done with them.
Now grab a spoon and revel in that oh-so-satisfying crack!
