When airplane passenger Colt Snapp got on a flight from Dutch Harbor to Anchorage in Alaska, he knew he was in for a visual treat in the sky.
Snapp had heard that the Pavlof volcano on the Aluetian Islands had slowly begun to erupt. So the Penair passenger had his camera ready to capture the splendor.

When the pilot found out about the natural phenomenon, he safely flew the plane closer, while still keeping distance, so that all passengers could get a better view.
