Nutella may have won the spotlight away from humble peanut butter, but the newest dessert spread on the supermarket shelves might just make you forget the chocolate-hazelnut toast topper forever.
Meet spreadable Twix, a luscious combo of chocolate and caramel that’s studded with crunchy cookie pieces. Although our first daydream is of digging a spoon into this jar and just enjoying it straight, there are plenty of crave-worthy combinations we can think of, like Twix pancakes, Twix milkshakes (using Twix ice cream, spread, AND cookies, of course), even Twix spread-covered doughnuts.
There’s only one tiny bit of bad news: The spread that stands for the culmination of all of our dessert hopes and dreams is only available in the U.K.--for now. It’s part of a line of dessert sauces and spreads produced by Mars Chocolate Drinks and Treats that capture the flavors of some of the U.K.’s favorite candy bars.
For now, keep an eye on those supermarket shelves for its stateside arrival, or simply spike your Nutella jar with a hefty dose of caramel and crushed cookie bits for a Nutella-meets-Twix mash-up that would be perfection on a stack of pancakes. When the jars hit U.S. shelves, we'll sound the alarm.
