Grill up a good time this Memorial Day weekend with a true American classic that the whole family will find finger-lickin' good
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. chile powder
1 tsp. smoked paprika, like McCormick
2 tsp. chopped garlic
1 tsp. cayenne pepper sauce, like Tabasco (optional)
2 Tbs. olive oil
1 chicken, cut into serving pieces (about 4 lbs.)
Heat grill to medium. In pot over medium-low heat, bring ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, chile powder, smoked paprika, chopped garlic, cayenne pepper sauce and 1 cup water to a simmer.
Cook 10 min. or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
Brush olive oil over chicken pieces. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
Grill chicken pieces over indirect heat 20 min. or until chicken is 175°F, brushing with 1/2 sauce mixture during last 5 min. of cooking and turning occasionally. Arrange chicken over salad greens. Serve with remaining sauce mixture.
