You can skip the pricey florist and shop the flower aisle at the grocery store for inexpensive blooms that’ll add instant charm to your table. Here, modest carnations are elevated to Italian market-style nosegays when simply popped inside rustic containers. They’re perfect for making a pizza night or an impromptu take-out Italian meal feel extra special.
What you’ll need (for each carnation bouquet):
3 carnations (for Italiano appeal, use one white, one red and one green)
1 recycled butter tub (or cottage cheese container)
1 sheet of craft-store fruit stickers (or print and glue fruit shapes found by searching “fruit” on StockFreeImages.com)
To do: Cut flower stems to 4 inches; arrange in recycled water-filled butter tub (as shown). Then decorate the tubs with stickers to cover the logos on the container.
