It was a chaotic bus ride for everyone. The driver totally abandoned his normal route and informed the riders on board that they would not be stopping unless he absolutely had to.
It was because of this unorthodox ride that the driver became a hero.

Driver James Rossi was holding the bus at a stop to regulate the service when a teenage boy approached him and said he needed his EpiPen immediately. Apparently, he was suffering a severe allergic reaction to nuts.
"I knew I had to do something," Rossi said. "His face was bright red and puffy and his eyes were bloodshot and watering, so when he told me he had to get home, I just said no problem, shut the door and off we went."
He informed the rest of the passengers about the dire situation, and luckily, they were all understanding about it all the way to the boy's home.
Rossi didn't think twice about what he did until he received a call from his boss later. The boy's mother had called the boss to personally thank him.
"According to his mom, if I hadn’t have got him home as quickly as I did, he would have died," Rossi said.
