Steve Carell, star of The Big Short, Bruce Almighty, and probably a few of your other favorite movies, stepped out to promote his new movie, Despicable Me 3, last week, and nobody could have predicted the fuss it’d cause.
The 54-year-old was photographed in London on Wednesday, posing with minions, his co-star Kristen Wiig, and waiting fans. But all eyes were well and truly on him and him alone.
Carell looked like a living, breathing Gap advertisement, dressed in chinos, a round-neck sweater and some hip sunnies. But the accessory that stood out the most and that really got people talking was his newly gray hair. Fully embracing a mature look, Carrel took the plunge and went with a silvery tone that, in our opinion, makes him look especially dapper.

Staying true to his comedy roots, Carell quipped to Entertainment Tonight, "I am so sick of people just looking at me for my physical attributes. It's just genetic. There's nothing I can do." On a more serious note, the father of two finished by saying, "I'm bursting with pride. That's very nice."
Perhaps, thanks to his standard underdog castings as characters like the world's most awkward boss Michael Scott in The Office or hopeless divorcee Cal Weaver in Crazy Stupid Love, Carell hasn't typically been considered a Hollywood stud, but if Twitter's anything to go by, that's about to change. You've definitely captured out attention, Steve.
Of course, Carell, isn't the only silver fox we've got our eyes on these days. To name a few, the list includes the likes of Pierce Brosnan, Sean Penn, and George Clooney. What's more, the apple doesn't seem to fall too far from the tree: Their sons have grown up to be equally as handsome as their foxy fathers!
All in all, Carell—as well as many other Hollywood hunks—are proving that looks get even better with age! And there's no denying that gray hair is, in fact, a trend to be replicated. And that’s basically all there is to say on this profound and important matter. As you were, ladies.
