Starbucks Is Giving Away Free Drinks — Here’s How to Get Them

Tags:

If you’re one of those customers who frequents Starbucks so often that the baristas already know you by name, then we have good news for you!

On Friday, July 14, the popular coffee chain will be giving away free drinks — that’s right, free.

If you stop by a Starbucks location between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., you can score a tall Teavana Shaken Iced Tea Infusion at no cost. And while it won’t quite do the same job as a triple caramel machiatto, the cool, crisp drink is the perfect refresher you’ll need to beat the heat. There’s no promo code or password you need to know — all you have to do is walk in and request the beverage.

The catch? The deal is limited to the chain’s new Shaken Iced Tea Infusion flavors — which include pineapple, black tea, strawberry green tea, and peach citrus tea — and is available only at participating locations in the U.S. and Canada.

These tea infusions aren’t the only new additions to Starbucks’ seemingly never-ending menu, however. The coffee mecca will be releasing its Iced Cascara Coconut Milk Latte made with espresso, coconut milk, and Cascara syrup—an extract from coffee cherries said to be subtly sweet with a slight maple, brown sugar-y flavor. And while you won’t be able to nab one of these delicious treats for free, we definitely still recommend trying one.

Drinks aside, the store will also be offering new sweet and savory food options. For a healthy snack, Starbucks will be selling the Chicken & Quinoa Protein Bowl and the Vegan Lentils & Vegetables Protein Bowl — which both clock in at a nutritious 23 grams of protein. But if you’re sugar craving wins out, you’ll soon be able to snag two twists on the classic whoopie pie — vanilla bean and raspberry — or a strawberry cake pop.

While we await these delicious additions, we’ll undoubtedly be lining up for our free iced tea on Friday. See you there!
