Gender reveals are so much fun, especially when the parents-to-be get clever about the way they share the big news.
Heidi Guerard and her husband, Shaun, decided to go the cupcake route to tell their daughters, Giuliana and Grace, whether they were going to get a baby brother or sister. As the video opens, the two little girls are sitting in front of the little cakes, while off-camera, their mom tells them what to expect: If the cream filling inside is blue, their sib-to-be is a boy; if it's pink, a girl. "Ready?" Guerard asks. "Break it open!" As Guiliana sets to, little Grace starts to look doubtful. "I don't want to break mine open," she says mournfully.
Look at the skeptical glance she gives her jubilant older sis when Guilana tears into the cupcake. It's all downhill from there. And yes, while Grace's reaction is a bit extreme, we think it's just 'cause she really really likes the color pink. The tip-off: Those cute little rose-colored jammies.
The story does have a happy ending. The baby boy, now 6 months, old, is loved by everyone in the fam!

Our first favorite sibling story of the year actually began took place last Christmas, though it only recently began touching hearts around the world. You'll love the emotional moment a foster child opened a present containing a stack of documents--and realized they were adoption papers stating that he, along with his little siblings, were officially joining their foster family forever.
