With a few strategic folds, we transformed sheet music into a pretty plate topper that doubles as a take-home ornament.
What you’ll need:
2 standard pages of 8½” x 11” sheet music
2 feet of string
1 large (20 mm) pearl bead
To do: Using a ½” accordion pleat, fold the two pages of sheet music from top to bottom. Then fold one page in half lengthwise (to form the skirt) and pinch the other in the center with your fingers (to form the wings). Stack the wings on top of the skirt, then tie the centers together with string, knotting and trimming ends. Loop a 10” length of string under the knot and thread a pearl bead on top (for the angel’s head), knotting it in place. To finish, tie the string ends into a loop and close the slit in the center of the skirt with double-stick tape.
