Mom Miriam Gwynne came home one day to her autistic daughter Naomi in tears. While Miriam was away taking care of her son, who also has special needs, at the hospital, Naomi had lost her beloved toy.
The toy was the one that helped ease her anxieties.

Miriam felt helpless as Naomi cried in her arms. Since her son could not be left unattended, she couldn't leave and pick up another toy for her daughter. But then, out of nowhere, Naomi stopped crying.
"It’s okay mommy. I have prayed," she said. "God will bring me back my toy."
Miriam wanted to make this happen, but she didn't know how. Nevertheless, she was inspired by her daughter's faith.
"Naomi, you are right," she said. "I believe with you."
As Naomi did her homework and played with the rest of the toys, it almost seemed as though things were normal again. But then, something extraordinary happened. The doorbell rang.

"Mommy, that is the angel God has sent with my toy," Naomi said.
Sure enough, it was a neighbor Miriam knew only by sight, and that neighbor had Naomi's toy, ready to return to its rightful owner.
Naomi was so happy she began dancing. And Miriam was so happy she cried.
"I will never forget the day one of my neighbors became an angel to my seven year old," Miriam said.
Wow! Neither will we!
