Birth photos seem to be everywhere these days. And for good reason--it's a beautiful sight to see a mother meet her newborn for the first time.
But there's something unique about mom Kim Overton's birth photos.

You see, in these heartwarming pictures, Kim is meeting her new baby born via surrogate.
Diagnosed with fibroids earlier in her life, Kim was able to give birth to only one baby after getting surgery. But when she wanted a second child, doctors said the fibroids were making it impossible.
So she discussed surrogacy with her family members. And her cousin's daughter Cydnee stepped up to do the job.
“We see Cydnee as an angel,” Kim said. “Without her we wouldn’t have been able to have another child. What she did was incredibly selfless and loving.”

When Cydnee gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Oliver, the delivery room was instantly full of emotion.
“Having children of my own opened my eyes to how blessed I am, because there are women out there who can’t—or are having difficulties—carrying their own children,” Cydnee said.
And Kim, of course, was beside herself in the "surreal" moment.
“My three-year journey to conceive was a very emotional roller coaster, but finally there he was, this sweet little baby after such a long struggle,” Overton said.
