Katie Kanefke, of Sioux City, SD, needed diapers for her son. So she did what many young moms do--headed out to Walmart to get as many packs as she could. But at the checkout, the clerk told her that she could only get the price match on one box, not the four she needed to buy. So Kanefke got ready to put the other three back on the shelves.

That's when the shopper behind her stepped in. "It looks to me like you had four boxes of Pampers and you're only buying one," the older woman told Kanefke. "Do you have children?' When Kanefke replied that she had a 4-month-old that was going through a lot of nappies, the older woman told the young mom that she probably needed those other three boxes.
So she ran to her cart, grabbed her purse, and paid $120 for the diapers. The hero turned out to be Carol Flynn, a 73-year-old woman, who told Kanefke that paying it forward was a "neat thing to do" and she was sure the young mom would pay it forward sometime in her life, too.
