That’s when Allen called Publix and asked to order some donuts. She explained the situation, and told the man she wanted iced blue donuts with the fallen civil servant's badge number—054—on each donut.
Allen was stunned when the man told her, “They’re on the house. Send our condolences.”
So touched by the gesture, Allen shared her experience with Publix's Facebook.
"Thank you Publix, for your kind donation to these wonderful men and women who serve our community. So here's to you, Badge Number 054. Rest easy."
