Pretty pastel pinks, blues, and greens are adding soft color and a fresh edge to interiors. Dreamy pastels are popping up everywhere, branching out from children's rooms to living areas, dining rooms, bathrooms, and beyond. But it's important to use them stylishly as to avoid making your space too overwhelmingly sugary.
So how do you do this? We asked our interior design and color guru, James Treble , who says the best way to work pastels into your home is to team them with crisp white, which allows all the subtle tones to work comfortably together. "Another way is to use dark tones such as charcoal grays, deep forest greens, or moody inky blues as the backdrop, and allow the softer tones to contrast against the darker ones," he says.
