An angel in the air!
That's what you'll be saying about one pilot who turned his plane around while it was preparing to take off from an airport in England. While this plane was taxiing and the passengers were turning off their mobile phones, one elderly couple noticed something that stopped them right in their tracks.
It was a missed call from their son-in-law. Soon after they missed his call, they got a text message from him saying that their grandson was in intensive care and they needed to be there.
Desperate, the couple passed the message on to the crew members, who spoke to the captain. Before they knew it, they were back at the boarding gate, where staff members were ready to assist them with their luggage and get their car.
Travel agent Becky Stephenson said the couple, who wished to remain anonymous, were grateful to say goodbye to their grandson. He died the next day.
"They never in a million years expected to the crew to go so far for them," she said. "You shudder to think what would have happened if they hadn’t been able to get off the plane."
