Finding bears in your backyard would scare most people. The children talking in the below video, apparently, are not most people.
When a human family in Rockaway, NJ, spots a bear family going for a swim in their above-ground pool, the youngest members of the brood don't scream or run away in fear. Instead, they offer hilarious questions and complaints about the beastly intruders.
After announcing the obvious, "There's bears in the pool!" the funny commentary begins.
"They took my floatie!" Sophie grouses, as though that's the most pressing concern right now.
"One is eating my car!" shouts little Sarah in despair.
"We're going to have to buy a new pool?" one worries.
"They took my floatie!" Sophie repeats as her voice quavers this time.
"The baby one is eating my Bubble Guppies car!" Sarah emphatically reminds the group.
"One took my floatie away," Sophie sadly says again.
"Where's MY floatie?" wonders a child before, you guessed it, repeating the query.
Then there's some concern that the furry visitors might eat the necklaces the girls had left outside.
As a baby bear bites into a float, one of the little girls dramatically cries out, "Nooooooo!" the way one might if a speeding train were about to crash into a car on the tracks.
"Are we going to have to put clean water in?" one questions.
"I don't want to buy a new pool!" protests one. "I like that pool!"
The other sister agrees until realizing the possibilities a new pool can bring. "Can the next one be pink?" the little girl asks.
When the eldest bear takes a float out of the pool, one of the children scolds, "Bad mommy bear!"
And then again, "They took my floatie!"
The video continues on for 11 minutes, yet somehow, never loses its entertainment value. Toward the end, one of the girls finally lets fear get the best of her. "There's a spider!" she screams.
