If you are looking for a way to erase your crow's feet and forehead lines, but hate needles, then this is good news: A Botox gel may be on the market soon. A California company has already conducted several clinical trails on the topical cream, and has found that it's safe and effective in getting rid of wrinkles.
Botox, of course, is toxic. But it is a miracle drug in the beauty world because it blocks the signals that nerves send to muscles. When a doctor applies Botox to the lines around your mouth, eyes, or on your forehead, the muscles won't move when you squint, say, or smile--and lines won't appear, minimizing the creased effect.
At the moment, the company is still doing more studies to see if the gel will be as effective--and last as long--as the injections. If it is, you can expect it on the market in a couple of years. But it probably won't be a DIY skincare procedure. You'll still need to go to a doctor's office to get it done. At least it won't be painful!
