The FDA has approved a new weight loss device that literally sucks the calories right out of your belly. Yes, really.
The device, called AspireAssist, is essentially a stomach pump that pumps food out of a person's stomach after they eat a meal. 30 percent of the calories consumed from said meal can be removed by the device, which only takes about five or ten minutes to drain the food from the stomach to the toilet.

Trials have already shown that after one year, people who used AspireAssist lost 12.1 percent of their total body weight, compared to 3.6 percent of patients in the group that didn't use the device.
It's worth noting that this is meant only for adults 22 and older who are obese and have failed to lose weight by using non-surgical methods. Also, people who use this device need to be carefully monitored by their health care provider throughout the process.
