Coffee addicts, your favorite unofficial holiday is here: National Coffee Day. On Sept. 29, several coffee chains are offering deals nationwide. Here's how you can snag some goodies — and most importantly, a free cup of joe — today.
If you run on Dunkin, you can earn a free medium hot coffee with the purchase of medium or large size hot coffee. Who doesn't love a bogo?
No matter where your convenience store loyalties lie, free coffee is free coffee. The East Coast-based gas stations will be giving away java — of any size — no coupon needed! They'll even throw in a coupon for another free cup when you sign up for their rewards program or take a survey.
McDonald's doesn't have a National Coffee Day promotion per se, but to honor the release of their new McCafé drinks (which include fancy espresso drinks like caramel macchiatos, cappuccinos, and Americanos), all small size McCafé espressos and iced drinks are only $2.
Krispy Kreme is extending National Coffee Day to National Coffee Weekend and will offer one free hot or iced premium blend per day through Sunday.
Sorry, no free coffee here! Instead, Starbucks is replacing all of their menu signs with information about their beans and the farmers who grow them in an attempt to educate their customers about the challenges these farmers face, as well as Starbucks' commitment to ethically sourced products.
If you prefer to make your own brew, now's the time to stock up on their coffee pods and beans — which are 20 percent off on keurig.com if you use the code CELEBRATE. All orders more than $39 automatically qualify for free shipping.
The San Fran-based coffee company is offering free a free drip coffee or tea if you purchase a bag of beans, which are currently 25 percent off. You can also get 25 percent off your bean purchases on their website by using the code COFFEEDAY17. The online promotion is limited to one per person.
Starting on National Coffee Day, Caribou Coffee will donate 10 percent of all purchases to Cancer Care, a nonprofit that educates, supports, and assists those who are battling cancer. This will continue through October.
If you're a member of 7-Eleven's reward program, you can get one free cup of coffee from Friday through Sunday by scanning a barcode on the mobile app at checkout. This deal is limited to one per customer.
With so many options for free caffeine, it'll be hard to stick to just one cup. But today is a holiday (at least unofficially), so treat yourself to that second (or third) cup!
