Living life unplugged, even for a moment, can yield some incredible results. In mom Brandie Wood's case, that result was a very important number—28.
The reason why the number 28 is so important is because it is the result of a tally count that Wood kept while watching her twins Blaine and Rylie play for just a moment. While keeping her eyes totally on her sons and not on her phone, she counted the number of times that her kids looked at her for approval or recognition while they played, leading to that magical number of 28 times.
She shared a snapshot of the tally count on her Facebook page, with the caption explaining the experiment and sharing a hard-hitting question: "I couldn't help but wonder if I was on some sort of technology what message would I have been sending?" She then pleaded with her followers to "be different" in a world immersed in technology. You can read her caption in its entirety in the post, which has now been shared more than 73,000 times, below.

We could all do well to keep her words in consideration! Maybe next time, we'll power off instead of on.
