Lauren and Seth Stevenson won’t be forgetting a birthday anytime soon.
Stevenson welcomed her third child, a son named Henry Lee, on Sept. 1. The boy was carried full-term, and the delivery went quickly.
The twist? Henry’s siblings, Axel Lee, 2, and Tommie Lee, 1, were also born on Sept. 1. The likelihood of three children in one family having the same birthday is one in 48 million.

Even the obstetrician, Dr. William Lowe, was baffled despite having delivered over 7,000 babies over more than 50 years. “Generally people do not get pregnant that quickly in order to be at due date by the next year,” he told TODAY in an email.
The Stevensons originally expected Henry on September 4, but Lauren went into labor three days early. “It didn’t hit my husband and I until we were at the hospital that, oh my goodness, Henry is going to be born on the 1st like our other two,” Stevenson told TODAY.
As if one child was hard enough, Stevenson now has three. “It’s very exhausting taking care of three babies all 2 years old or less,” she said, but “being young helps a lot.”
Fortunately, Axel has adapted to his role as big brother and helps his mother feed and bathe Henry. But Tommie, the middle boy, isn’t sure about Henry yet, his mother said.

The story behind how the couple met is just as crazy as her sons’ identical birthdays. Originally, Lauren worked as an oil pump technician, which involved putting together these machines that weigh about 100 pounds. Lauren met Seth when he helped unload a pump from the truck.
“We dated for three months, we were engaged for three days, and now we have three kids born three years in a row,” she said.
While Lauren is on maternity leave, Seth works long hours on a rig. But even with the difficulties of raising three kids, Lauren remains positive. “Life is short and there are so many wonderful things in my life that God has blessed me with, so I try to enjoy my life, and try to make the best of it.”
