Miranda Lambert was performing at a show in Connecticut when a sign caught her eye in the crowd. The country star shocked everyone by taking it in her hands and holding it up on the big screen for all her fans to see.
The words were written by a U.S. soldier. And they were as heartbreaking as they were beautiful.

The sign read, "3 combat tours… your voice was the last thing I heard every night. Thank you."
Lambert was so choked up after reading the note that she struggled to get through the rest of her song. But her supportive fans instantly sang along to the tune, helping her calm down and get back on track.
