When tragedy strikes a family, it doesn't take long for finger pointers to blame the parents. Maybe this was always true, but thanks to social media, haters have a bigger platform--and a few angry voices can drown out those with more common sense. We all witnessed that last month when the 4-year-old fell into the gorilla enclosure at the Cleveland Zoo. Now people are criticizing Matt and Melissa Graves, whose 2-year-old son, Lane, was killed by an alligator when he was playing on the beach of a Disney resort, for being bad parents.

That's why Jennifer Venditti shared these photos of HER son, Channing, who was playing on the same beach minutes before Lane and his family were. The mom of three was visiting Disney World, just like the Graves family. Between 8 and 8:30 in the evening, the kids frolicked on the beach of the Grand Floridian resort, just as the Graves family had. Channing went wading in the same water. They are gorgeous photos.

But so is Venditti's message: "PRAY, PRAY so hard for the family & for those who witnessed this tragic event," she writes, noting that the little boy was killed at 9 AM. "I've already seen posts criticizing the parents. I can assure you alligators were not on my mind at all when Channing was in the water. It's a tiny beach, surrounded by pools, water slides, a restaurant, and a fire pit. I can't conceive that an alligator would be in such a busy, small space. #judgelesspraymore"
That may be the message of this long week filled with bad news--most of it out of Orlando. Judge less, pray more. It just may make a difference. You can read her entire post below.
