As if we needed another reason to love Melissa McCarthy, she just gave us a new one in a recent interview. While speaking to The Guardian, her interviewer brought up the "rules" Hollywood has for women in film--they can't be a comedy lead, they can't be over the age of 35, and they can't be over size 10.

In response, the 41-year-old plus-size actress just had two words to say.
"Why not?" she asked.
Why not, indeed. Not only has McCarthy already cracked everyone up in her hilarious roles in movies like The Heat and TV shows like Mike and Molly, she also has a highly-anticipated all-female remake of Ghostbusters coming out in July. Of course, there are many naysayers about her upcoming role. But in typical McCarthy fashion, she doesn't let the haters get her down.

"All those comments--'You’re ruining my childhood!’ I mean, really," McCarthy said. "Four women doing any movie on earth will destroy your childhood? I have a visual of those people not having a Ben, not having friends, so they’re just sitting there and spewing hate into this fake world of the internet. I just hope they find a friend."
