With a glaze of maple syrup, cranberries, and apple cider, this stunning turkey showcases the very best flavors the season has to offer
5 Tbs. *butter, *at room temp. and divided
1 (14 g) packet concentrated chicken broth
1 Tbs. chopped fresh parsley
1 Tbs. minced shallots
1 Tbs. minced garlic
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 *turkey *(15 lbs.)
1 bag (12 oz.) frozen cranberries
1/2 cup maple syrup
3/4 cup cranberry juice
3/4 cup apple cider
Heat oven to 375°F. In bowl, mix 4 Tbs. butter and next 5 ingredients. Season with kosher salt and pepper; spread under and over turkey skin.
Place turkey on rack set in roasting pan; tie legs together. Roast 4 1/2 hrs. or until 175°F. Cover loosely with foil; let sit 10 min. before slicing.
In pan over medium-high heat, bring last 4 ingredients, 1 Tbs. butter, 1 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. pepper to a boil. Reduce heat. Let simmer 8 min. or until cranberries burst. Strain, if desired. Serve sauce with turkey.
