Howard and Laura have been married for 73 years, and are currently facing the hardest task of their marriage--saying goodbye.
Laura is in hospice care and is visited frequently by friends and family. Recently, Howard decided to show his love for Laura by singing the song that got them through the stressful years of World War II, Engelbert Humperdinck's "You'll Never Know This."
Laura was too weak to sing along, but spoke the words when she could. Erin Solari, the couple's granddaughter, captured this unbelievable moment of pure love on film.
"After 50 years of marriage, they renewed their vows and performed this song as a duet for the entire family at the reception," Solari wrote in the caption of the video.
Since the video was posted it went viral, with over 3.5 million views in just days. Solari said the love and encouraging words her family has received lifted her grandparents' spirits enormously.
Laura's spirits were so improved that she was able to leave hospice care to spend her final days resting at home with the husband who loves her so dearly.
