It's tough to tell which is the most heartwarming part of this video: this little girl's voice or the back story behind this cute dog-and-kid moment? First, the story. When this pit bull's owner was deployed by the Navy to the Middle East, PACT For Animals, an organization that helps military personnel find homes for their pets during emergencies, found a foster family.
Donna Masusock, who lives in New Jersey, was happy to take Laila while Petty Officer Baez was overseas. Masusock's daughter Anna instantly bonded with her new foster sister, as you can see in this photo posted by PACT last year.
Whenever Laila misses her human mom, Anna sings to her. And since the girl has a voice of an angel--and a heart of gold--the pittie is in pretty good hands, we think.
