Teachers get to learn A LOT about their students' families, usually because kids blurt out the most private information. To be fair, little kids don't usually realize they are spilling secrets that Mom and Dad rather not share. That's why it's so easy to believe this hoax that's making the rounds again.
You're supposed to think that this little girl's drawing was a homework assignment showing what she wanted to be when she grew up. The little girl has drawn a picture of a woman holding a pole, surrounded by people thrusting money at her. The caption: "When I grow up....I want to be like Mommy!" And that the next day her mother sent a note to the teacher.

Dear Mrs. Jones,
I wish to clarify that I am not now, nor have I ever been, an exotic dancer.
I work at Home Depot and I told my daughter how hectic it was last week before the blizzard hit. I told her we sold out every single shovel we had, and then I found one more in the back room, and that several people were fighting over who would get it. Her picture doesn't show me dancing around a pole. It's supposed to depict me selling the last snow shovel we had at Home Depot.
From now on I will remember to check her homework more.
It's still funny--even if it is a total fake! For the full back story, check out myth-busting site Snopes.com
