Little Girl Goes to Rescue Center to Adopt New Cat, Gets Against-All-Odds Surprise

Tags:

We often think of pets as family members, so when we lose one it’s painful. Just ask Claudia. In a video, this sweet little girl looks like she’s on the verge of tears when she talks about her old cat, Cursor.

Fortunately, Claudia’s parents have taken her to an animal rescue and they have a surprise.

“Claudia, do you like kitties?” a woman off-camera asks.

“Yes,” Claudia squeaks. She explains enthusiastically that she particularly loves black and yellow cats.

Realizing her mistake, the woman asks if Claudia likes black and white cats–calicos.

“I had a calico once,” Claudia sighs. She tries to talk about the cat, but she suddenly looks sad and mumbles her words.

Right on time, the doors magically open and the woman asks Claudia, “Does [the cat] look like this?”

Claudia stands there with her hands over her open mouth, realizing that it’s Cursor. She’s speechless before suddenly embracing the cat, which is almost her size.

“I missed you so much,” she tells Cursor before burying her face in the cat’s white fur.

Remembering her manners, she tells the woman, “Thanks for giving my kitty back” before hugging the cat again.

When the woman who returned the cat asks Claudia how long it’s been since Cursor left, Claudia’s childlike sense of time tells her it’s been only eight months. Claudia’s adorably stunned when her mother tells her it’s actually been three years!

Now that everything’s back to normal, Cursor and Claudia have plenty of time to catch up!
