Parents love to keep their kids' fantasy life going, even when children inch up to double digits. That's why we spend so much time staying up past our bedtimes to slip some money under a pillow every time our kids lose a tooth or buying special wrapping paper to show a gift is from Santa.
So it's kind of a rude awakening when we find out our kids have been wise to our tricks for a while. Take Lexi. Her dad found this letter to the "Tooth Fairy" on her pillow, and couldn't help posting it.

The letter reads:
Dear "Tooth Fairy,"
I don't believe in the Tooth Fairy anymore. I know it's you who gets the money and puts it under my pillow, mom and dad. I'm sorry if this is hard for you, but I'm 9 now.
P.S. I don't believe in Santa Claus either.
P.S. Daddy, I knew it was you last Easter, hiding my Easter eggs!
As someone in the comments noted, "Aww. It's both cute and sad watching kids grow up." We couldn't agree more.
