Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ love story

Soap opera fans might still remember young Kelly Ripa during her days on All My Children. Her husband-to-be was cast as her on-screen love interest, and, well, you know what happened next. In an interview with The Daily Beast, Mark revealed that when he proposed, she said, “Okay, let’s get married tomorrow,” and they did.

That said, Kelly is adamant that her daughter Lola, though far from marrying age, not elope like she did, not because their marriage meant anything less because they didn’t go the traditional route but because Kelly couldn’t bear the idea of missing the wedding festivities.

“I will kill my daughter if she runs off and elopes, because I want to have a big party,” she said in an interview.

Kelly Ripa’s kids are the spitting image of her and Mark.

Since then, they’ve both gone on to bigger and better things, including raising a family together. They have three kids: Michael, Lola, and Joaquin, whom they smother with affection on social media.

Now that Kelly and her Live co-host Ryan Seacrest are being heralded as the morning show power couple, let’s not forget that Mark was one a guest host on his wife’s show, and that chemistry is pretty hard to top. Sorry, Ryan!
