Keith Urban is known for his acts of kindness at his concerts, and at a recent show in Edmonton, Canada, he warmed hearts again. Urban was on tour promoting his latest album, Rip Cord, when he noticed something in the crowd.

Sisters Hailey, 14, and McKenna, 12, had designed their own colorful, guitar-shaped signs that read “Rip Cord” and “Keith Urban 2016.” After getting an eyeful of sparkles, Urban called the girls up to the stage.
The country star asked the girls what their future plans were, and Hailey said she hoped to become a singer-songwriter. “Yes!” Urban shouted, “Mom, I would support that,” he said.

After Hailey admitted that she wrote her own songs, Urban shocked the girl by asking her to sing something. Fortunately, the teen has had years of practice performing, so she hardly looked nervous. She sang “Clean Slate,” a song she wrote a few months ago.
“I was shocked,” Hailey said. “I had every emotion in my head: I was nervous, I was excited, I was shocked, I was everything.”
Urban shared a video of the performance on his Facebook and it has over two million views. Thousands of people have commented, praising Hailey’s voice, including Urban who said the performance, “blew us away.”
Who knows? Maybe Hailey’s dream of becoming a successful singer-songwriter will come true a lot sooner than she thought.
