Religion runs like a river through country music history--and most of its stars have at least one song in their repertoire that credits God for helping through some dark times. So Blake Shelton is no exception to this rule, but the star did something unusual by specifically writing the song for Christian radio.

The song's title is "Savior's Shadow" and Shelton wrote in a press release that he was going through a dark time when he wrote it. In fact, he DREAMED the first verse--and thought it was God's way of telling him everything was going to be all right.
"I’m standing in my savior’s shadow/He is watching over me
I feel the rain/I hear the thunder/As He cries for me
And standing in my savior’s shadow/Grace will lead to where I’m free
I take His hand/We walk together/His light shines on me."
