Freshed-picked Granny Smiths make a posh pastoral statement when they are lined up as a centerpiece procession down the middle of the table. Mix in a few little bud vases filled with Indian summer wildflowers to complete the fresh-from-the-farmstand appeal.
*What you’ll need: *
4"-wide wood plank
8-10 Granny Smith apples
3-4 small glass bud vases (or substitute small drinking glasses)
3-4 handfuls of wildflowers (like Queen Anne’s lace, shown)
To do: Set the plank in the center of the table. Then alternate apples with mini vases along the plank as shown. Fill the vases with the flowers. Replace the sprigs as they fade and this chic centerpiece will last up to six weeks!
