It's no secret that newborn photography is always a surefire heart-warmer. But there's a photo that's suddenly going viral because it puts a bittersweet twist on the typical new baby photo shoot, and people seem to be truly touched by its message.
The photo, taken by photographer Kim Stone, is of a three-week-old baby girl, Aubrey, wrapped in something not-so-typical: a pair of motorcycle gloves.
The gloves belong to little Aubrey's late father, Hector Daniel Ferrer Alvarez, a 25-year-old man from Florida who was tragically killed in April.
"Her Daddy loved his motorcycle. He always wore protective gear. He wanted to make sure he was safe. He couldn't take any chances with a new baby girl on the way. But he will never hold his baby girl," Stone wrote in a Facebook post of the sweet photo, which also features Alvarez's motorcycle helmet behind his smiling baby girl. It has since been viewed millions of times.
Stone said the newborn photo shoot came about because little Aubrey's grandmother is her neighbor.
A GoFundMe page set up to support the family says that Alvarez was proudly looking forward to the changes in his near future' before he passed away.
We're sure wherever he is now, he's looking down proudly on his sweet little girl.
