Hanna Sillitoe, of Manchester, England, had suffered from bad skin all her life. At 16 she had the worst case of acne. Later, she developed psoriasis and eczema. Her skin was so red and raw that people stared at her, wondering if her conditions were contagious. She began to dread events like weddings and the beach, when more of her skin would be exposed.
Covering up her skin didn't help with the itching. Neither did lotions, prescription drugs, and a host of other remedies. Finally, out of desperation, a doctor suggested she try a chemotherapy drug. When Sillitoe read about all the toxic side effects, she decided there had to be better solution. So she went online.
She read how people had cured themselves from other autoimmune diseases by juicing. But she decided juicing wasn't for her. Instead, she changed her diet. A former pizza and jarred-tomato sauce eater, she gave up dairy, most pastas, tomatoes--anything that contributed to her skin's inflammation. Now she eats a vegetarian diet--dips with veggies, chick-pea salads, lots of fruit. But she says it's not about green sludge and celery, and more about tasty dishes.
She said she saw a difference in 30 days. And now, three years later, she is radiant. Plus, she also lost weight.
She published a book of her recipes called Radiant. And now people who suffered from skin conditions are tweeting before-and-after pictures of themselves. It's truly miraculous!
