Yard-sale chandelier crystals are simply recycled into vintage-chic sun catchers that instantly brighten any room (even on the grayest day!) when brushed with glass paint and hung in a window with vivid ribbons.
What you’ll need for each crystal sun catcher:
One chandelier crystal
Assorted colors of craft-store glass paint
One 2" piece of medium-gauge floral wire
One 3' length of bright ribbon
Paint simple line, dot and starburst patterns onto the front of the chandelier crystal using the colors of your choice. Let dry. Bend the piece of floral wire into an S shape. Hook the bottom part of the S into the hole in the crystal and the top part of the S into a knot tied into one end of your ribbon. Hang by pressing the thumbtack through the other end of the ribbon and into the top of your window molding.
